Couple hosting a halloween wedding at Moss Denver

The Event

When Brian and Jeremy decided to tie the knot on October 31, 2023, they knew they wanted a celebration that fully embraced the spirit of the holiday. As a proudly LGBTQ+ friendly event space, our team loved seeing these grooms create a highly personalized Halloween wedding in Denver that perfectly blended festive fun with sophisticated design.

Even with an intimate guest count of 25 people, the couple maximized the flow of our multi-room venue to keep the energy moving throughout the evening. The night began in the Edison Room, where the warm glow of the vintage bulbs created a romantic atmosphere for their vows. Following the ceremony, guests moved into the Chandelier Room for a dedicated mocktail hour while the vendor team effortlessly flipped the main space. The group then returned to the Edison Room for a beautifully plated dinner and an evening of dancing.

The Vibe

The design vision for the day leaned heavily into the historic, industrial elements of Moss. Working with their planning and floral teams, the couple selected a primary color palette of deep purples, rich burgundy, and maroon.

To achieve a dark and moody wedding aesthetic, the floral team utilized dark foliage, greenery, and heavy amaranthus to enhance the existing botanical elements of our venue. The deep floral tones popped beautifully against our exposed brick and living moss wall, proving that micro weddings in Denver can carry just as much design weight as massive galas.

The Details

Because they chose an intimate guest count, Brian and Jeremy had the freedom to make the night incredibly interactive. The Halloween theme was in full effect, with all 25 guests arriving in elaborate costumes. The grooms themselves leaned into the fun with multiple costume changes throughout the night, and they even included their dog in the festivities.

Instead of a traditional bar, the couple treated their guests to a fully curated mocktail bar before sitting down to a custom plated dinner. After the meal, a DJ kept the energy high as the costumed guests danced the night away under the glass ceilings.
